Drawing and requirement
Your drawing, the material requirement and any fire, smoke or toxicity specification.
Sector · rail and transport
Seals, gaskets, pads and profiles for rolling stock, buses and specialist vehicles, made to your drawing with the paperwork the programme asks for.
Who this is for
Rail and transport programmes run for decades. The elastomer parts inside them, such as door and window seals, equipment-case gaskets, anti-vibration pads and cable grommets, have to perform for years and still be available as spares long after the first build.
We make these parts against your drawing in silicone and other elastomers, and keep the tooling and specification on file so later batches match the parts you approved.
Fire performance
Interior and some exterior parts on railway vehicles often need to meet EN 45545-2 requirements for fire behaviour, at a hazard level set by the vehicle's operating category. Other transport sectors have their own specifications.
Where your drawing calls for a fire-performance requirement, we specify a compound whose supplier holds test reports for that requirement, and supply those reports with the parts. We don't certify parts ourselves, and we'll tell you plainly if a requirement needs testing on the finished part.
How we work
Your drawing, the material requirement and any fire, smoke or toxicity specification.
A compound with the test data your specification needs, confirmed before tooling.
Compression, transfer or injection tools, or an extrusion die for profiles.
Dimensional and visual checks against the drawing, shared with you for approval.
Compound test reports, certificate of conformity and batch record.
Tooling and specification kept so later batches match the approved part.
Questions
We can specify compounds whose supplier holds EN 45545-2 test reports for the relevant requirement and hazard level, and supply those reports with the parts. Some programmes also need testing on the finished part, which we'll flag.
Yes. We supply extruded silicone profiles cut to length or joined, as well as moulded seals and gaskets.
Yes. We can reverse-engineer a worn part, or keep your tooling and specification for repeat spares batches.
Next step
We'll confirm the compound and documentation before we quote tooling.
