Cut from sheet
Solid or sponge silicone and rubber sheet, cut to profile.
Gaskets and seals · Flat gaskets
Enclosure lids, flanges, pump covers, lighting housings. Flat gaskets do a lot of quiet work, and the right way to make one depends mostly on how many you need.
The detail
At low volumes, cutting from sheet — by knife, die or water jet — needs little or no tooling and handles design changes easily. At higher volumes, a moulded gasket usually wins: less waste, moulded-in features like beads and locating pegs, and consistent thickness.
We make both, and we'll show you where the crossover sits for your part. Many programmes start cut and move to moulded once the design is settled.

Where it fits
Solid or sponge silicone and rubber sheet, cut to profile.
Flat gaskets with beads, ribs or locating features moulded in.
Gaskets with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer for easy assembly.

How we run it
Bolt pattern, flange stiffness and closing force.
Cut or moulded, solid or sponge, silicone or rubber.
Fitted to your housing and checked for coverage and compression.
Counted and packed flat to avoid distortion.
To quote it
Or the housing it seals.
Or the sealing job and closing force.
Weather, heat, fluids, washdown.
This decides cut versus moulded.

Questions
For many enclosures, yes. Moulded gaskets add features that improve sealing on less stiff housings.
Yes, for low closing force applications. Sponge is usually cut from sheet or extruded.
