Batch manufacturing · Call-off scheduling

Call-off scheduling.

You know roughly how many parts you'll need over the year, but not exactly when. Call-off scheduling lets us plan production while you draw parts as you need them.

The detail

Planning without over-committing

Under a call-off arrangement, we agree an annual volume and a stock level, produce batches to keep that stock topped up, and ship when you call. You avoid holding lots of stock; we get predictable production.

The arrangement is reviewed regularly, so if your demand changes, the plan changes too. No surprises in either direction.

Questions

What people usually ask.

What happens if our demand drops?

We review and adjust. The agreement sets out how stock held for you is handled.

Is this only for large programmes?

No. It works well for medium-volume parts with irregular demand.

Short-run batches

Not every part needs thousands. Some need a few hundred a year, made properly, with the same paperwork as a big programme.
