Grips and handles.

A good grip makes a product feel better made. Silicone gives warmth, friction and comfort, and it cleans easily.

The detail

Three ways to add a grip

Grips can be moulded as a separate sleeve that slides or stretches on, overmoulded onto the handle, or moulded as a complete handle with a rigid insert. Each suits different volumes and assembly lines.

We'll show you all three for your product and recommend the one that balances cost, feel and durability.

Questions

What people usually ask.

Will a stretch-on sleeve stay put?

With the right interference and texture, yes. For heavy use we'd consider a bonded or overmoulded grip.

Can grips be heat resistant?

Silicone handles heat well; we'll select the grade.

More from wearable and consumer parts.

Watch straps and bands

A strap is worn every day, against skin, through sweat and showers. It has to look good in the box and still look good a year later.

Ear tips and audio parts

Ear tips seal the ear canal, shape the sound and decide whether headphones are comfortable. They're small parts that customers notice.
